About Our Founder

Robert Herriott

Relying on 20-plus years of experience in marketing, public relations, and government affairs, Mr. Herriott founded RBT Communications Group in 2008. Throughout his career Mr. Herriott has been involved in external communications and marketing campaigns dealing with issues from financial services and healthcare to energy and consumer product safety. Mr. Herriott’s career has allowed him to gain experience from both the private and public sector perspective.

Mr. Herriott has served in strategic and legislative development roles in the U.S. Congress working with the committees of jurisdiction for banking and financial services, healthcare, energy, and consumer product safety, among others. He has liaised with regulatory agencies and worked to influence legislative and regulatory outcomes.

Mr. Herriott also served as an Associate to the Rules Committee which oversees all legislative activity in the U.S. House of Representatives.

In the private sector, Mr. Herriott has led communications and marketing campaigns to influence consumer choice and effectively communicate with key decision makers to affect both public and private sector policy outcomes. He has represented industry before government entities in the United States, European Union and the People’s Republic of China.

Mr. Herriott speaks throughout the U.S. and internationally on interacting with government, communication strategy, the U.S. legislative process, specific industry issues pending before governmental entities, and effective marketing.

Mr. Herriott continues to advise clients on macro and micro governmental and political risk analysis, as well as marketing, reputation management and external communication campaigns. He also provides unique perspective and strategic advice as an Independent Director on the Board of Directors for public company and charitable entities. As an Independent Director, Mr. Herriott serves as the Chair of the Governance Committee and a Member of the Audit Committee.
